Sorry to miss a few days, my internet, cable and phone was down. I tried to use my neighbor’s WiFi, but it was very limited. But here I am today.
How did you do with last month’s challenge? Did saying a positive thing everyday change your attitude or self image? Let me know in the comments.
Now, lets get this week’s challenge underway. Since we basically have missed the first week we will adjust the challenge. Ready??
First off, pick four colors. Any four, but they must be different colors. So for instance don’t choose crimson, violet, lavender and indigo, as they are all the same color just a different hue. So now choose your colors. Then read on.
Next since this is Ramadan and most people are fasting let’s make this challenge occur at Iftar, which is supper.
Now each color represents a week. The first color is the first week (aka July 5-11), second color is the second week (July 12-18), third color is third week (July 19-25) and the fourth color is the last week(July 26-31).
Now for each Iftar, dinner, you must incorporate one food item that is allowed on your way of eating plan that matches the color you have chosen for that week and eat at least one serving.
And now for the most important part, you can not repeat that food item. You can only use that item once for the week, you need to use a new item of the same color each day.
So lets say I choose the color Brown. First day I choose to eat a date, second day I choose caramelized onions, third day a piece of cooked meat, fourth day a Brown egg, fifth day Portobello Mushroom Pizzas, sixth day mixed nuts(almonds, pecans, walnuts), seventh day flaxseed muffin. I could even make some tea with milk and sweetness as that now is a light Brown. There are so many options. You can also make a chocolate protein shake..you see where I am going with this right.
I want you to have fun while eating healthy.
Luckily we have a thing called Google, that can help us find foods of certain colors In case we get stuck or have a brain fart.
