RECIPE ROUNDUP!!!!!!

Have you ever had a Shamrock Shake from McDonald’s?  It was a seasonal must in this family. Every March, my mom would take me to get our annual treat that encompassed going many times that month, until we have had our shamrock fill and the shakes were gone until the same time the following year.

I recently discovered the same great flavor in a healthier version.

Mary Jo’s Minty Shake

1/2 avocado, peeled and pitted

1 cup fresh spinach

1 scoop whey protein powder (I USE KROGER BRAND)

1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk

10-12 drops of liquid stevia

1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract

1 cup ice

Blend everything together in a blender until well mixed and ice all chopped.  Pour into glass and serve.

226.6 calories; 15.2 g fat; 7.5 mg cholesterol; 180.5 mg sodium; 11.1 g carbs; 7.5 g fiber; 0.9 g sugar; 15.6 g protein

Net Carbs is 3.6 g
